A Knitters' Color Theory Adventure

Sometimes people email me regarding how to pick colors that will go together in their knitting projects. My tip... is to try and pick different colors but they will be in the same tonal value or range and you could vary your texture for variety.
If you are knitting socks, you probably want the same texture throughout, especially if you are a newbie to knitting.
I have a link to Knit Picks for you today that may be helpful to you if you are struggling with this issue. It includes a tutorial and info on color theory for the knitter.

Knitty also has a wonderful article as well.

We all get color "block" from time to time and need a review. I hope this helps you get back on track and take some of the frustration out of the process.
Enjoy your knitting!
Marg
