The last bloom...

Wane:  to approach an end. Today's pictures were taken yesterday at Ladew Gardens.  As we approach the end of summer, it's nice to reflect on how far we have come and dream of the endless possibilities ahead. Charming!

Are you noticing the slight change in daylight coming through your window? Maybe you've noticed it getting dark earlier?  Do you feel that keen anticipation of Autumn colors and clothing? Perhaps you have a slight case of cardi fever.  Well, here's a fun way you can get a jump start on cardi season with some of these adorable (made with leather like material) zipper charms from Red Heart. 3 Beeutiful Things: Yellow at Fort Mifflin

One of our recent stops was Fort Mifflin.  I visited Fort Mifflin in the 80's and there have been a few changes, ongoing repairs and excavations since that first visit. It's always an adventure to explore this historic fort.  We also had the chance to meet the resident pup named, appropriately, Mifflin. Here are just a few our pics of this historic fort.  I have a few more that I will share in upcoming blogs, as well as recent knitty wip sightings.

This weekend we spent part of our rainy Saturday at Eastern State Penitentiary, learning the history, studying the architecture, and creative art installations that are currently being added to some of the cells.  I have info of knitworthy wonder for you from this visit... Karen Schmidt: Cozy.

You can't walk through the site without taking away something to think about.  It will effect you on every level.  You may even encounter a ghostly image or two, if you're so inclined.
