Two new knitting apps have arrived for you lucky ones who own an iPhone out in knitland...Both are brought to you by the fine folks at Ashland-Sky.

The first one is called KnitGauge and the other is iKnit Needle Sizer (which is coming soon). Helpful, yes, but we NEEED more apps! So please, if you have any ideas for knitting, crochet, or any of the other needlearts, please contact them with your ideas.

MAX'S PET PEEVE DEPT - NO TREATS FOR HALLOWEEN

This is Max and he has just lost 5 lbs since his last vet visit and is now the perfect healthy Yorkie weight. Many have asked him how he did it...Max says his mummy switched to Beneful (weight management), more excercise and no treats. He is still a little devil though, as you can see in his Halloween pic and he finds that being lighter makes for a really quick getaway.

Come by tomorrow for knitting and crochet projects for the holidays.

KNITTING IN RETROGRADE

Current mood: energetic

You may have noticed my myspace profile page is new - well, not exactly by choice. While I love the new look, it was a result of something being in retrograde in the TECHNO universe which resulted in great difficulty and big headache. Sometimes you just have to scratch a project and start over. Same thing with knitting or crochet projects which are also subject to retrograde fever...quite catchy, I'm afraid, and a part of life in the knittie fast lane.

If you find yourself caught up in a tsunami of confusion and frustration with your project, put it aside for awhile, try a different yarn, don't be afraid to ditch it and try a new strategy. Your retrograde turmoil could turn into a happy accident!
