In the bag and out the door...

At our house, we have a little saying that we like to attribute to Max's attitude when he wakes up in the morning...in the harness and out the door!  Ahhh, the life of a little doggie.  In my case, it's chemo caps for KOL (knotsoflove.org) this week that are in the bag and out the door.  Instant feelgood.  Here are a few pics to share the occasion...

We have to remember to factor in those charity knit and crochet projects into our busy schedules.  Our needlework skills are needed with everything that is going on in the world. Think of it as your feelgood activity...along with eating chocolate, hugging your kids, and a 50% off yarn sale...this is the part where you fill in your own feelgood choices _______________.

Here are a few charity projects going out soon...

The hats are crochet in a basic crochet hat pattern with various yarns in my stash and the shawl is a free LionBrand pattern called Prayer Shawl / Healing Shawl which you can either knit or crochet. It's made with LionBrand Homespun.

Three Feathers of Charity, Hope and Faith

Over the weekend, I stumbled across three feathers laying together in front of me during a walk.  This got me wondering about the symbolic meaning of feathers.  As a child, my parents taught me to look for signs from the universe/divine that always seemed to appear when I needed guidance the most. 


One of the many things that three feathers represents was Charity, Hope and Faith in Christianity and this resonated for me on a deep level.  These are themes that I try to include in my daily life and in this blog.  There are other symbolic meanings that you can read about on http://www.whats-your-sign.com/symbol-meaning-of-feathers.html.  Explanations on feathers from several cultures is covered, as well as other information you might find interesting.


Today's blog is focused on finding more Charity in your life.  You're heart will be filled with more love each time you reach out to help others with your knit, crochet, and crafting skills. So let's get started. Here are some new opportunities just waiting to be taken.
