New listings at MargKnittinARound...

New listings in my shop MargKnittinARound on Etsy!

Crayon DK Cotton Boucle Yarn Eight 50 gram balls per bag

3 colors available:  orange, red, and yellow

This is a bright and cheerful soft boucle yarn of pima cotton.  It's great for so many summer projects.  I used Crayon for the Craft Hope washcloth project. They were super soft, flexible, and durable.  Crayon is also great for other home decor projects and for the kiddos. The listing includes yarn info, gauge, etc.  There are 8 balls in each bag. Take a look!

Filatura Di Crosa Brilla 384 Turquoise Yarn with FREE PATTERN...

Enjoy the Rita the Ribbonista,a knit1fortheroad one skein knit pattern. It knits up quickly with Brilla and is a fun portable project. Perfect for a hot summer day. Your free pattern will be emailed to you after purchase. The listing includes yarn info, gauge, etc.

As always, feel free to convo me on Etsy if you have any questions before purchase.

Back at the shack...

RE:  Irene

Thanks to everyone who ordered from my shop, convoed, emailed, tweeted me, etc over the weekend and patiently waited for my internet to return.  I am grateful.

We're back at the shack to find minimal damage and consider ourselves lucky ducks.  While I was away, knit happened so I will have a few new items to share with you as well as knitting products that showed up on my knitdar.

I hope everyone in the path of Irene has recovered and found time for some crafty fun.

Margaret (still can't believe we had an earthquake and a hurricane in the same week)

Where is your special refuge?

The best times can sometimes be close to home.  A patio, porch or yard can be a great refuge for you, your needlework and nature.  Windows with a view of the street or park are also favorites of mine.  Here are a few pics from my refuge, the backyard, taken on an overcast day and right before a rain shower.  Enjoy.

Textures:  A soft knit blanket, Cotton Bobble Throw, sturdy and textured project bag, Merry Meet Market Tote.  Both knit patterns can be found in Knit Knitavian Style: Allow your knitting adventures to begin and a crochet project called Sea Breeze Top, a free pattern from LionBrand made with yummy Cotton Ease.

A viewof my favorite wildflowers and the smell of an oncoming summer shower in the air...

The beauty of yellow and gold against tiny purple and blue blooms...

Gentle sounds: birds, leaves blowing in the breeze and windchimes...

A resident bird creating an amazingly constructed new nest...

I hope you take some time to enjoy your special refuge to recharge this weekend, wherever it may be.  Visit often and live well.

Margaret (wishing you a wonderful weekend with scruptious yarn and all your favorite colors...on sale of course.)
