Mark your calendars knitting and fiber enthusiasts!  Knitters Connection 2011 is coming to the Columbus Convention Center in Columbus, OH -June 15 - 18, 2011.

Just when you thought their classes couldn't get any better - you got it - they did. Nicky Epstein will also be there to sign books, and more. Be sure and check out the line up of talented teachers this year. Enjoy The Knitters Market - love love.  It's inside and cool, well organized, and fun.  If you're anywhere near Columbus, OH take advantage of this event.

GATHER 'ROUND KNITTIES AND KNOTTIES

2009 is just around the corner!

Gather round knitties and knotties for some events that are coming in 2009 and hopefully, near you. Your knitting and crocheting knowledge can grow by leaps and bounds by attending, meeting, and networking with all the hardworking people involved in these events. You will come away with so much inspiration, and yes, maybe more yarn for the stash, but participating can really give your projects that extra zing! I encourage you to make the trek, leave the kids with hubby or loving grandma and hit the road with fellow knitties. Check with your neighborhood yarn store to see if they are going or a group of you can carpool together - GREAT community, great for the environment and the wallet, afterall, you're going to need some extra cookies for that special yarnie item that you can't walk away from.

STAYING IN STEP with the knitting world around you

Events are a great way to keep up with what's new in knitting. Search out Knitting Shows and Events in your area. Knitting stores are a great source of information, as well as the internet to locate an event in your area. If you live near a big city - it's a cinch, not so easy if you live in isolated areas, but they can still be found - no worries.

To cut down on cost, join along with a knitting group, you'll have great fun together because you share a common love of all that is KnitNation. Look for deals! You'd be surprised what you can find at a reasonable price with so many vendors in one place.

Look for Ravelers! Ravelry.com is really catching on and you will be running into a Ravelry group for sure - stop by and make new friends. Classes and demonstrations are also available at events, so be sure and check your program.

I'll be heading out myself, June 12th to Columbus Ohio for the
Knitters Connection Event. This will be my first time there and I hear it's spectacular. If you are in the area, or interested, please visit their site to see what is being offered.
