IT'S ALL IN THE WEIGHT

Today's post is not what you're thinking! It's all about the weight of yarn and the Standard Weight System that knitters (and crocheters) use as a guideline and it has the most commonly used gauges ,needle or hook sizes. I get emails regarding what yarns are best to use for certain projects, especially with beginning knitters, so I thought this post topic would be helpful.

A great site to visit-especially if you are new to knitting/crocheting or just need a refresher course - is http://www.yarnstandards.com/ . On the left hand side of the homepage you will see Yarn Weight System. This site also contains some great information for you and can be added to your favorites for quick access.

So, there will be no revealing of weight here, people...not mine anyway!
