SAY WHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAT!?
Did you ever think that if your knitting projects had feelings what they would be thinking about you and where you take them? Ok - this is a little strange - but stay with me...
Consider taking your yarn outside for some fresh air - poolside! Opt for cotton fibers and alternative choices like plastic, hemp, or whatever you find fun working with. Jelly Yarn comes in fun colors. Plastic bags can be cut in strips and knitted or crocheted. Hemp and soy fibers are earthy and come in colors also.
Embellish - add a few beads, why don't ya? (that's your project speaking, not me)
Wash me, wash me! Too much urban dwelling can take it's toll on your projects. Gently wash, block and share your new piece of art.
Knitting and crochet both luv a great photo op! It's their time to shine on your projects page on Ravelry, or project book. A great way to track your progress as a knitter/crocheter.
And oh yeah! Stop fretting over the brain teaser patterns that tax you and your project - all that tugging hurts and frustration is a bad bad vibe - you're dealing with natural fibers here folks. Opt out for a bit and come back later.
You can choose quick, fun, portable pattterns, like the ones in Knit 1 for the Road perhaps? ;) or the two patterns I'm posting on Etsy -user name(margknittinaround) this week called Lime in de Coconut Neck Scarf
or maybe the Travilin' Lite Coin Purse?
Two projects from the Knit 1 for the Road series that are made of 100% 4 ply cotton from Peaches & Creme or any cotton fiber of your choice. Be sure and check your gauge. LOOK for them over the weekend barring no gliches or computer hiccups! I find that when I give a definite debut date this will undoubtedly happen.
Hmmmm.
Just a few ideas your knitting and crochet projects have emailed to me - totally unscripted, and unsolicited, of course.
Your projects thank you!
Marg
