The cover image is by the fabulous Lisa Solomon and some contributors in this isssue (including myself, with an article called Crafting from the Heart) that you will enjoy are...
"Craftism Handmade Help Selvedge Queen: Jodie Carleton Crafty Lady: Kitty Speer (kittyskaboodle.blogspot.com) and a WICKED pull out poster designed by Black Pio." and there's more so...

Please don't miss out on this jam packed, jumbolicious COLORific issue...and if you haven't seen this wonderful zine before, you will be hooked on the crafty enthusiasm, tips, articles, reviews, and interviews. There's something for everyone- crafting of all kinds, and it's some serious eye candy for those of us who enjoy and admire graphics when we're sipping our double mochas...and I know you do.

Hats off to Justine Telfer (the heart, brain and all round wizard behind MixTape Zine) will be having some giveaways and blogging 3 times a week on the mixtape blog, "writing weekly posts for Living Creatively and Whip up." So check in often.

What a way to start the week...color, craft and creativity...feels sooo good.

CRAFTY INAUGURATION FUN!

Inauguration Day is getting close. Do you need some crafty ideas and recipes for the big day? Crafting (and a little history prep) can help teach your children all about democacy in action. Here are a couple of sites to help you get organized. Kaboose offers crafts to celebrate red white and blue, along with related links on crafts and activities. There's even a history tab to click on for the 411 on all the presidents.

Celebrations is party central with planning, prep, recipes and more. How 'bout that Mohito recipe for the adults! There are also decorationg and craft ideas, as well.

Note to my hardcore knitting readers who may not want to visit the craft zone on this blog: please don't go rambo on me- do stay tuned -I'll be back with more knitting fun on my next post.

Sooo get fired up people - celebrate, share with your friends and loved ones, save a little tme to knit or crochet and your world will be a little brighter.

Gettin' Your Knitting Blog On!

Bookmark and Share

A few things to consider if you are just beginning your blogging journey...

Blogging can be fun and informative for both you and your readers...sharing what you know is a wonderful way to help fellow knitters/crocheters and crafters of all kinds.

I am always drawn to the fun sites that have a bit of sarcasm or sense of humor and fabulous graphics! Keepin' it real AND short also helps me because, like most of us, I'm definitely in a time crunch most of the time.

What do you look for in a blog site? Maybe take the qualities you like in a blog you read and add your own personal flare. Your blog will soon take on a life of it's own.

With the spring season comes a little sprucing up of your stash, your knitting patterns & books - why not your blog? Could it be you have something spectacular to add to the scene and didn't realize it because of your busy lifestyle?

Blogging often is also helpful if you want folks to come back and visit...even if you are sharing a video, blurb about something new you're excited about...a reader depends on you being there, and keeps the blog fresh in their minds. I always take note of the last time someone was online to blog or update.

Twitter has been helpful to me for updates throughout the day about what I am doing regarding blogs, Knit 1 for the Road, and cool stuff I stumble across. I'm not a texter, but you can also attach Twitter to your phone as well as your blog.

Tomorrow (Friday) you won't want to miss this blog! You're going to meet one of my fav etsy sellers - that's right -

Put your needles together and your fingers on the keyboard til' then!
